How Do I Find You

How Do I Find You

In a world where people just want the smallest, simplest piece of you, how do you show them that you need each other?

So much of owning a small business is meeting the people who will “get” what you do and want to be a part of it. If you’re doing it right, it’s not even a huge number of people, just enough that trust your vision and want it for themselves. But, when you have one minute to listen to their story and one minute to tell yours, how do you connect?

I’m so tired of the small talk, “I’m a life coach, oh, you’re a photographer? I need some new headshots.”

Luckily he was okay, but this was a big reason behind the need for making sure they had tangible memories from their trip. During the session Alison and I talked about how scared they had all been. How her dad was such a key part of their family and how much these photographs were going to mean to all of them. Not only for the kids, but as the grandchildren got older.

Palm Beach Anniversary Session

Palm Beach Anniversary Session

So much changes over the years, including who we are as individuals, and as a unit. I love that we were able to completely freeze these moments so that they can look back on what life meant for them in that stage. I also love that Mae and her sibling will have these photographs of their parents for the rest of their lives.

Photographing Your Family Every Year

Photographing Your Family Every Year

This is a mom who has several gallery walls in her home, so we knew that a gallery collection was going to be the right fit for her. We worked together to get her the perfect frames, prints, and designs. It’s so important that I listen to each individual’s needs because everyone is so different. I love that when she walked up her stairs she got to see her family on her walls. That’s a feeling you aren’t going to get by looking at your photos on your computer every couple of months.
