This is definitely one I'm excited to share with you. This was one of those weddings where you can physically feel the love surrounding everyone in attendance. Marco Island is home to some of the most gorgeous sunsets you will ever see. The skies look like cotton candy as the sun goes down. Christina and John had all of their events at the JW Marriott, but they wanted to bring the outside in. Florida is so hot this time of year, and while they wanted their guests to be comfortable and in air conditioning, they didn't want it to feel like a ballroom. That's where hiring an incredible stylist and florist comes into play. Tom Trovato and Courtney worked together to create a tropical and lush landscape inside of a hotel ballroom. It was pure magic. It was exactly what the couple had been envisioning and beyond. Beyond that, my mid-century modern heart was so happy with the decor of the actual resort.
The couple got ready at the resort, had a first look, and then a beach ceremony. Their cocktail hour was rooftop and then all guests moved inside the ballroom for the reception.
This is what they said when I asked what they were most excited about (leading up to the wedding): "The actual celebration of our love—the dancing, singing, hugging, kissing—the outbursts of joy!! We want our guests to be having as much fun as we will be having. The night should be romantic and fun, set against the backdrop of one of the most heavenly places on earth."
I still haven’t picked my jaw up off the floor from Christina’s incredible Rime Arodaky dress. I was all heart eyes. Let’s be honest though, John also had impeccable style.
